Although Native People have been severely mistreated, been stolen from and have suffered a lot, we believe they have a bright future. Joy shall replace sadness, instead of ashes they shall wear a headdress of honor and dignity. They shall be called servants of God.
Because they got a double dose of trouble and more than their share of contempt, their inheritance in the land will be doubled and their joy go on forever. Their descendants will become well-known among the Nations as the people the LORD has blessed. (from Isaiah 61)
